Delta Story
Delta’s energy-saving and industrial automation products and control systems were fully introduced to the Taoyuan R&D Center, and energy-saving devices, such as solar panels, an LED lighting system, a water treatment system, and renewable energy power supplies were installed. It was estimated that more than NT$5 million in electricity costs could be saved per year, and around 1,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions could be reduced. The adoption of water-saving devices and a rainwater recycling system was estimated to save up to 75% of water (around 3,000 metric tons), making the center a truly automated smart green building.
The Taoyuan R&D Center is Delta's R&D base for industrial automation systems and electric vehicle power systems, as well as an experimental site and model for smart green building solutions. From the operations of the Taoyuan R&D Center, Delta can obtain actual data and user experience in building automation solutions and energy-saving systems, and can conduct system adjustments and functional verification at any time. In addition to environmental protection and energy conservation, smart green buildings can reduce a company's operating costs, provide a comfortable work environment for employees, and greatly improve the overall productivity of a company.

Participated in the Taiwan Lantern Festival and created the Ring of Celestial Bliss, Taiwan's first low-carbon structure, which passed a building carbon audit and inspection.
Delta Story
The Ring of Celestial Bliss, the world's largest festival lamp was 10 meters high and 70 meters wide, with a 270-degree curved surface, which could be appreciated from different angles with different amazing effects. The design concept of this structure was "permanency". The concept of "permanency" in the Book of Changes means that if the sun and moon follow the laws of the celestial bodies, they can illuminate everything forever. The four seasons are a natural cycle where all things can grow, which is aligned with the sustainability philosophy of Delta.
At the design stage, Delta invited Professor Hsien-Te Lin from the Department of Architecture at NCKU to assist with the introduction of the Building Carbon Audit using the Building Carbon Emission Reduction Assessment. The system met local needs to construct the first building in Taiwan to pass a carbon audit. After the lantern festival, Delta donated the steel structure to the Taitung Daxi Elementary School to build a covered ball court, and the projection screen was made into eco-friendly bags for volunteers to promote environmental education, and 234 sets of LED lighting fixtures were donated to the Tropical Rain Forest Greenhouse of the National Museum of Natural Science. The Ring of Celestial Bliss was also recognized by the international Architizer A+Awards.
