DeltaMOOCx台達磨課師縮短學用落差
人才教育

教育與科技結合，打造創新的教學方式，使好老師的影響無遠弗界，是鄭崇華創辦人的理想。透過開設DeltaMOOCx台達磨課師線上免費教學，老師不再單向授課，讓學生重獲學習主權，世界變成一間學校。

The integration of education and technology enables excellent teachers to have global influence; this was the mission of Delta founder, Bruce Cheng. Through DeltaMOOCx, teaching is no longer unidirectional and students have learning autonomy; it makes the entire world a school.

曾受好老師的啟發 決心著力於教育面

投注龐大的資源，來自於鄭崇華創辦人小時的求學經驗，12歲時因戰亂來台的他，隻身在台求學期間，曾受到許多好老師啟發，使他的人生完全改觀。

如今，鄭先生發揮所能，透過開設DeltaMOOCx台達磨課師線上免費學習課程，專注大學自動化及高工/高中基礎科學課程，到2021年第一季為止，DeltaMOOCx已累積超過五千小時免費網路課程，供學生及社會人士修習，累計點閱數更已突破一千萬次。

DeltaMOOCx was born from Delta founder Bruce Cheng’s school experience. Cheng arrived in Taiwan when he was 12 years old to escape war and was inspired by many good teachers that changed his life. He hoped to continue the influence, then establishing DeltaMOOCx, a free online learning platform that focuses on automation and basic science courses. As of the first quarter of 2021, the platform has accumulated over 5000 hours of free online courses and over 10 million views.

珊瑚復育

珊瑚如同海中生物群聚的大都會，卻也是受到地球暖化衝擊的第一線。台達投入珊瑚復育計畫，爭取多一些調適暖化的時間，降低珊瑚生態系一夕消失的風險。

Coral restoration

Coral reefs are like metropolises where marine creatures gather. They are also on the frontline of the climate crisis. Delta has been devoted to coral restoration projects to facilitate climate adaptation and reduce the risk of coral ecosystems disappearing.

從節用走向厚生

受到氣候變遷與棲地破壞的影響，全世界已有半數的珊瑚礁在過去三十年消失。若是地球暖化的速度未能減緩，最快在2030年全球均溫將較兩百年前升高1.5°C，90%的珊瑚都將面臨死亡。

2020年台達基金會發起倡議，與在地的生態組織合作進行珊瑚復育，並投入志工培訓照養珊瑚。珊瑚的復育，乍看之下是件小而緩慢的行動，卻代表著台達從節用走向厚生的信念決心。

Due to climate change and habitat destruction, half of coral reefs in the world have disappeared in the past 30 years. If the warming continues, by as early as 2030, the global temperature will rise by 1.5°C and 90% of coral reefs will die.

Since 2020, the Delta Foundation has recruited corporate volunteers to join coral restoration. The initiative looks small, but it represents Delta's belief moves toward nurturing lives.

珊瑚苗基座

珊瑚苗種植於混合牡蠣殼的基座，放置於人工養殖池，照顧1-3年待珊瑚長大後，再種回礁石上。

Bases for coral garden

The bases, consisting of mixed oyster shell powder, are the homes of fragmented corals. They are placed in nurseries favorable to coral growth, and the coral colonies will be outplanted back onto natural reefs after 1-3 years.

珊瑚檢色卡

由澳洲昆士蘭大學學者所辦理的非營利全球珊瑚礁監測計畫,提供了一種簡單的方法來量化珊瑚健康。

  2. 判斷珊瑚類型
  3. 以色卡核對珊瑚最深和最淺的顏色分數
  4. 利用 CoralWatch App，替全球數據庫提交紀錄
CoralWatch

CoralWatch is a global reef monitoring scheme that measures coral health.

  1. Select a section of corals with the palest color.
  2. Judge the coral type.
  3. Match the deepest and lightest colors to check health.
  4. Submit data with CoralWatch App.
